Boundary Surveys:
A survey made to establish a boundary line on the ground or obtain data for constructing a map or plat showing a boundary line.
Topographic Surveys:
A survey with the purpose of determining the relief of the surface of the ground and the location of natural and artificial objects located thereon.
ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys:
ALTA/ACSM surveys are performed on commercial properties. These surveys are comprehensive surveys that determine property lines, locate improvements, identify all easements utilities and other conditions affecting the property.
Subdivision Surveys:
A tract of land divided, by means of map or plat, into lots, or lots and blocks, for the purpose of multiple homesites or estate divisions.
Recombination Surveys:
A survey used to reconfigure the lines of previously subdivided lots where the total number of lots remains the same but the title lines are relocated. These surveys are sometimes used to resolve encroachments.
Construction Surveys:
Measurements made before and during the construction process to verify location, dimensions, horizontal and vertical position of structures.
Hydrographic Bathymetric Surveys:
Measurements made of the ground surface underneath the water, shorelines, tides, currents, sea floor and submerged obstructions
Expert Witness:
Appearing in court as an expert in the science of measurements and the art of boundary location.
